Discrimination?

I've cruised with Celebrity & Azamara numerous times and a friend and I have a cruise reserved on Azamara for August. Last week I received a promotional email from AZ regarding free gratuities should you confirm and book your cruise before end of May. Goodie!

 

However, when I checked with AZ (we book directly with them), I was told that the offer only applies to US citizens!

Why is this only applicable to certain people? Nowhere in the email does it state that, nor do the terms & conditions say that it's only applicable to bookings in certain countries.

 

And why, oh why, do they send me this promotion when they know I live in the UK????

I am sure the mailings are computer generated (not that it couldn't be programmed better..)
