DP Posted May 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2009 We are changing cabins after first cruise. What is procedure. We are only 2 cabins away to change. Can we transfer all our closet items after passengers from our new cabin leave and then transfer dresser stuff after cabin has been cleaned? Can this all be done prior to clearing immigration? Fblack Posted May 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2009 I have done it twice on European cruises. After breakfast, just pack all your stuff. Leave hanging clothes on hangers in the closet. They will not let you move until the next cabin is ready. The cabin attendant will move you. (We helped him though). We took our suitcases and he took the stuff in the closet. It was about 10:00AM but they could not give us a new key yet. Very painless. We never had to clear immigration. We just got an In Transit pass so we could leave the ship and bypass lines getting back on.
Pumbaamd Posted May 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 18, 2009 We did the same on Enchantment last fall. And we only had to move one cabin over. Shoved all the odds and ends in to one suit case, that and the hanging stuff was moved by the cabin attendant. Our new sea passes were issued to us before we got off. We were on the pier maybe 10 minutes, then were the first to board for the second cruise. The staff and crew of Enchantment were extremely helpful in assisting us with this change over. Thank you, Rosa. We first thought about just tossing everything over to the next balcony, but that idea was during cocktails. We thought better of it later. Have a great time!
