Good morning, XXXXXXXX

Please excuse the delayed response, but I have been traveling for business.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the new cell phone

service. I will forward your comments to the appropriate departments for

consideration as they continue to review and develop this program.

Take care,

All I can say is after experiencing our cruise last week - cell phones are a bad idea. While eating dinner in the Windjammer, a teenager's phone rang - so he figured he had service at sea. Well, he called people for 20 minutes straight saying "Can you hear me, we are on the ship". His parents will probably get quite a shock with the roaming charges.

He was speaking so loudly talking about "can you hear me now". It didn't ruin our vacation or anything - just really, really annoying.

RCCL charges 5.95 per minute. As a business owner I must be able to stay in contact when abroad. However, I at least have the courtesy of using it in my room.

I've never seen anyone using their phones at a dinner table. However, there is always some kind of weirdo that may do it.

You do realize this was originally posted in 2004? It doesn't sound as though much has changed int he way of coverage/ number of people using it aboard. I think the cost keeps people from doing so unless it's an emergency.
