Smartypants72 Posted May 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2009 My husband and I have been on several cruises without and before my son but never really noticed how "dressy" little boys are in the dining room at dinner. My son is 6 and one that is not found of getting dressed up (but well behaved). What would be appropriate- always long pants or would long shorts be looked down upon? Just curious
cb at sea Posted May 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2009 At six, he could probably get away with dress shorts, but long pants would be better. He can take them off right after dinner! Young kids don't have to dress like adults!
crusinmama06 Posted May 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2009 I looked at your past post and you are going on Carnival Legend? If that's the case, then Carnival has started to relax alot of their dress suggestions. So shorts would be fine. Pants for formal night.
doctordi Posted May 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2009 Yep - dressy shorts and a nice shirt would be fine. And I will probably get flamed for this but I think nice tennis shoes on young boys are OK too! No need to pack the dress shoes.
