Victory - port or starboard

Hi,

I'm all set to book a Southern Caribbean cruise on the Victory out of San Juan for next March. Is one side (Port or Starboard) better for viewing the land when we are docked in the ports of call?

Thank you all in advance,

No, sorry. Doesn't count.

Odds are about even how the Captain will orient the ship to dock it

whether it be St.Thomas or Barbados.

Some days he spins it around...some days he'll wait until departure to spin it.

50% of the days you get good scenery

50% of the days you get great scenery.

It's a toss-up.

Starboard-side view rolling into St.Thomas.

The guys on the other side didn't have my clear sunlight at 0615 hrs.

Pity.

How about when sailing into port. Does one side of the ship have a better view. On our last cruise into St Thomas and St Maarten, Port side had a great view of the islands as we approached, while starboard side looked out at the ocean.

Does one side of the ship have a better view? ===> Depends on the port!

On our last cruise into St Thomas and St Maarten, Port side had a great view of the islands as we approached,

while starboard side looked out at the ocean.

And then when they sailed out, everything got switched around! -didn't it?! :)
