holdon216 Posted May 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2009 I know i read somewhere on here that it is either the liquior store or the airport itself that will box and lock your booze so you can carry it onboard. Anyone with info on this?? Anyone ever done it?? We are flying Continental out of San Juan and would love to take some of the good old cheaper stuff home :D THANKS!!! BettyCruiser Posted May 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2009 I have never heard of this, I quit bringing booze home from cruises when the liquid restrictions for carry on started.
tef43 Posted May 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2009 Since the liquids restriction, I've only been able to carry on duty-free purchases from the airport stores, post-security. Everything else needs to be in checked luggage.
holdon216 Posted May 21, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted May 21, 2009 I know i read it on here somewhere. Perhaps the locked booze box had to be checked??? Anyone know???
kjunea Posted May 21, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2009 I think I saw an ad for the port store in San Juan and they had boxes they "guaranteed" to be checkable and not break anything. I don't think there was anything about it being lockable, just well insulated against breakage. Look on the San Juan board.
