Hi,:D I have been in Sept (last year) and going again Labor Day week this year:D Yes, Sept can be rainey and prices are looking really good:) I just pack accordingly and still have a fabulous time no matter what the weather! Everyone has their own preferences though. Others may say they will only go in the beginning of the season (May) while other folks might be able to only go during the mid summer months. The first time I went was May 2006 and it was quite sunny. Last year it did rain but I didn't care. I wore appropriate clothing and loved it again. I picked Sept this time around again due to the good $$$ which for me, is a big factor. Have a wonderful time, no matter when you go:D Alaksa is totally majestic. Putterdude Posted May 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2009 I prefer the period from mid-July to mid-Aug from a weather point of view. However that said the weather in Alaska in extremely variable. We are going in mid-September this year but really don't expect much in the way of weather, we are just doing as a fun thing with some neighbors.
