Rare crewsweeper Posted May 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2009 We were recently on the Legend. We made good use of the gym, steam rooms and solarium. Since the gym covers two levels, here are some picture of the weight equipment and a view of the loungers in the solarium. Maximum frre weights are 10 lbs. You can only fit 6 on a bar. But dumbbells go up to 85 lbs each. Plenty of machines to use I row so this is what I used for cardio. there are two one at the men's locker room end and one at the women's locker room end. Never saw anyone else on either one. but the treadmills and bikes were filled by 7 AM. The solarium. Also the only place in the gym i found where you could get cold water:mad:
FLSpaGuy Posted August 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2010 Thank You for posting these pics. Do you have any pics of the Dream Spa area? Did you do a Spa cabin on either of your Dream Cruises this year?
TriMomma Posted March 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2011 Thanks for the pics! Did you take any classes? I love to spend time in the gym when cruising....makes the rest of the vacay seem less guilty. :) Did you use the spa facilities at all? I would be interested in a Spa pass if they have one. I have done that on Norwegian and Disney and love having my daily spa fix!
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 28, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted March 28, 2011 Thanks for the pics! Did you take any classes? I have done that on Norwegian and Disney and love having my daily spa fix! TriMomma...On th eLegend, I only used the steam and sauna in th elocker rooms. DW did some spa stuff, but they charged an arm and a leg for treatments. I did not do any classes on the Legend as they had two of Windrowers with ribbed tractor seats that I spent a lot of time rubbing my bum raw on. (giv eme the C2 hard seats anyday LOL). Most of th eclasses are mid morning early afternoon. Too soon after eating for me. On the Dream, the spa amenities are different and I enjoy all the pools and steams and heated loungers and tea/relaxation lounge. AS part of a Spa cabin, you can take a couple of classes...I did Pilates. Mat pilates but it was okay. Spin class looked interesting but again timing wasn't right. SIL took the cardio/bootcamp class in the late afternoon and enjoyed it a lot.
cruisegoo11 Posted March 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Maximum free weights are 10 lbs. You can only fit 6 on a bar. Ok. So the bar is 45 lbs I assume, then 6 x 10 lbs = 105 lbs ? That´s it? I can do biceps and some warm ups. Dumbbells go up to 85 lbs each. That is fine, but not enough for some work outs. I do not understand why the cruiselines and hotels also do not carry bigger weights. I am not a bodybuilder, just an ex athlete and this really sucks for me. ricethief Posted March 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2015 There are no barbels now on the legend, the dumbells go up to 100lbs now. There is a chinup bar just outside on the cardio level. There is enough on the ship for a decent workout, sometimes you just have to be creative.
