Tourist travel cards in Venice

We are sailing on the Ruby princess Oct 7th out of Venice but are arriving Oct 6th and have read about the Tourist Travel card for water transportation to the hotel from the airport and around Venice. Has anyone purchased these cards and do you know if we can use it for transportation to the ship and from the ship back into San Marco? We are staying at the Hotel Violino d'Oro, has anyone stayed in this hotel? This is our first trip to Europe and have obtained a lot of good information from reading Cruise Critic. Thanks everyone

Tourist Travel Cards have been discontinued and replaced by Venice Connected.

You can buy just the Vaporetto passes for transportation good for 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours

A Vaporetto pass is a must in Venice - you will use it quite a bit!

Water bus will not help from airport or ship. Also note the language size restriction on the water bus at 60 inches when adding all three sides.

Do you have transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to ship arranged or you depending on the water bus?

Look into a water taxi that are very expensive, but I think it is the only way to get close to your hotel. When IO was there, saw lots of people dragging their language around over the bridges and walk ways.

Thanks everyone for your help, glad I asked the question because we got the info from a site that said the travel cards were the way to go. Will check out the info and web sites you suggest.
