Fort Lauderdale Airport Using RCL's Transfers

Recommended Posts

We are cruising on the Independence on Feb 6, 2010 and I am trying to book our flights home.

Can you make an 11:45 AM flight on Continental at the Fort Lauderdale airport using the Royal Caribbean Transfers? All the reservation specialist told me was that you had to have a flight after 11:30 well 11:45 is after 11:30 but just want some advice from people that have actually done that. Or should I just take the next flight at 3:30 PM?

What are they charging for the transfers, one way? It is a 10 minute 15$ cab ride from the port to the airport. Ditch the transfers and just grab one of the tons of cabs that will be outside.

Don't wait for the transfer bus. It is far cheaper and quicker to take a taxi. On my last Independence cruise, we were off the ship by 8am. The airport is ten minutes away, twenty with traffic and there is very little traffic on a Saturday or Sunday.

There are 4 of us traveling with 4 large suitcases are there a lot of Taxi's that can handle 4 of us and our luggage?

We took a taxi from the airport to the port for our last cruise. 10 min. and under $15. They have taxi vans there, too, as we had a lot of suitcases also. It should not be a problem for you.
