Hi all,

Going on our first cruise we are travelling on Thomson Destiny.

Sailing on 23rd July 2009, is any one else going on this cruise we are doing 14 nights.Which includes Mediteranean Renaisance and Moorish Delights.

Have read some peoples reviews on other sites most are positive seems only downside is size of cabins but hopefully wont be spending much time there.

We have the AI package what does this entail.

Unless you book suites, no cabins on any ships can compare to most hotel rooms...but, like you said, you really won't be in the cabin that much. There's too much to see and do in the open, public areas of the ship!

I'm not familiar with your cruiseline, but I do know that you'll have a superb time! Enjoy!

I'm sure you will enjoy the cruise with Thomson. Cabins may be small, but service is excellent and there is plenty to keep you occupied and entertained on and off the ship.

The AI package covers almost all your drinks, including wine with meals. There are some items for which you have to pay a supplement (including bottled water - although water is provided at meals and drinking water is always available from a few locations). However, I think there is enough variety in the included drinks so the supplements are very rarely needed. Menu cards are provided in all the bars and clearly show which drinks attract a supplement.

Hi, Betty! We're going on our first Thomson's next winter after reading the fabulous reviews on the UK review site-2nd to Cunard did it for us! The all-inclusive covers all soft drinks, smoothies, special coffees and all alcoholic drinks, tho' not always the big brand names. Some people who book really early get it free; we booked 9 months in advance and paid half price. Have you noticed the Thomson's page on this site? They're constantly discussing it there. Your roll-call will come under "All Others"-too soon for mine, but just in time for yours! Enjoy!-jocap.

I strongly suggest that you contact your Travel Agent and have them explain things in detail (that is why they receive a commission). If you booked directly through the cruise line, you may want to find a TA and transfer your booking. A TA is working for you and will have your best interests in mind. Side note: most TA's take care of tipping for you:)

HI Betty,

Come on over to the Thomsons board. Lots of answers there for you.

Also a full All Inclusive drinks list I 've posted from the Island Escape. It looks pretty standard throughout the fleet.

We're doing same cruise as you but not till Sept. next year

Berwyn

Hi

We went on a Thomson Cruise a few years back, it was brilliant. I dont think we spent a penny apart from in the casino. We did not pay extra for the all inclusive and our tips were included in the price. So easy to manage a budget, wish we were going again but they do not do our itinery, anyway have a fab time.
