venice07 Posted June 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Has anyone in the CC community sailed with Oceania when Jacques Pepin has been onboard? We're interested in an itinerary next year which includes the executive chef de cuisine. Just wondering how much interaction the passengers have with him, e.g. are there excursions where you go shopping in local markets? are there cooking classes? Rare LHT28 Posted June 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2009 I would ask on the Oceania Forum I am sure there are people that have done the JP cruise in the past
alexandra cruiser Posted July 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2009 I went on one with the chef, but only remember that we were able to go into kitchen, which really wasnt that great.Have been on others with this service. There were special foods that were prepared by him and he came out at end of cruise with other staff. But this was 4 years ago and maybe its changed.I d contact the cruise line and ask specific questions. The food was very good, cruise great, if that helps
venice07 Posted July 15, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Thanks for letting us know about your experience on a "Jacques Pepin cruise". We definitely need more info before deciding whether to book this one. It may come down to the itinerary itself - any exposure to M Pepin is then a bonus!
