Carnival Players Club

Recommended Posts

Did a search - Carnival Players Club - sent an E mail under "CONTACT US" - Gave them my info on past cruise as well as the next cruise info - sail date, ship, name, cabin number - age etc. which will be July 30.

Last cruise I remember getting quite a few $10.00 rebates into my account.

I am not a "high roller" but spend a good amount of time/money in the casino. Platnimum player at Harrahs and VIP at local PA casino.

They also ask for a membership number??? Have no clue what that might be as I don't believe I was issued one - just used my SS card inserted into the machine. Did introduce myself to slot host on the Victory and didn't really get a warm receiption (without them even knowing my play)

Did I do the right thing or is there another E mail address to send to?

Not really looking for alot - just thought it might be fun to receive a free drink? :)

Thanks for your help.

The $10.00 rebates don't have anything to do with the players club. Everyone that useses their S&S will get that after racking up the points.

I signed up in the Casino and received a number..........

They send me stuff all the time.......Last letter said $100 cash is waiting in the casino for me.......

Hmm - remember very well boarding the Victory and going to the cage - asking about the players club - signed up - never got a number - they really weren't very friendly. So does that mean I have to start all over or can they look up my last cruise play?

That I am not sure about........I guess you email or call the players club.....it won't hurt..

When we were on the Victory I didn't care for the casino host either.....wonder if it is the same one....

I just went thru all my cards - I have my sign and sail from that trip but nothing else -

Does players club issue a card??

Yes, Kurbanfan, they were not very friendly - I almost felt like - yeah right - get out of here - and they didn't even know what kind of player I was at that point - what is I was a millionaire??? LOL - NOT - anyway

I did send the E mail under contact us - is that the right place to go? :)

Prior to booking my next cruise, I called the phone number on the Ocean Player's club website and spoke with a very friendly woman who said to call back when I had all my booking details. I didn't know my # either but she was able to pull up my past play. I knew I didn't qualify for much but she said I'd probably get a welcome back letter & a free drink.

For our last 5 cruises, I have sent info in to Players Club with past sailing and booked sailing. Never been issued a card or players #. Introduced myself to Casino host each sailing, their response was "yes we have you listed on this sailing, good luck in the casino." Never received anything other than the initial Email, welcoming me back, and wishing me luck.

This has not and will not stop me from leaving $$ in the casino.

I have the same experience you had except the host on the Miracle, my last cruise on Carnival and when they redid the casino program, was really nice. Since that cruise I haven't heard from The Players Club. I will contact them before my next cruise. Whether that does any good or not we shall wait and see. I am expecting to sign up all over again.

I've been a member for years and a few years ago when they were redoing the system a casino host came out to me while I was on a slot and said she "saw" that I was playing and needed me to fill out new information because they knew I was a member but had lost my home address and stuff.

The form I filled out did have a number on it but she said that was for their tracking purposes and they didn't give member numbers. They track us by name and past guest number.

I don't put anything in that field when I register for my next cruise.

I usually play enough to rack up 5000+ points over the course of the week but pretty much just get the standard free drink ticket, and occasionally a host will come up and offer me a drink or two at various times during the week and sometimes not.......

You will get an email looks like this

"Hi Catherine,

Thanks for contacting the Carnival Players Club!

We're glad to hear you're sailing again! We have placed you on our CPC guest list for your upcoming sailing. Hope you have a great cruise, and the best of luck while spending time in the Casino!

Best Regards,

Carnival Players Club"

One night in your cabin you should get a letter that gives you 500 points (or half of what it takes to get your free 10 dollars) and a free drink. You have to take the letter to the Casino host and they will take care of the free drink.

Hope this helps

Cathy

The last time I had a decent Casino Host on Carnival was back in 2006 on the Fantasy. His name was Dylan and he had our stateroom decorated with the Welcome Aboard package. I got a least a couple of drinks, but more importantly, every time I went into the casino Dylan came over to say hello and ask how I was enjoying my cruise. He was warm and friendly and really enhanced the Casino experience. Since then, I have felt rather foolish introducing myself to the Carnival Casino Hosts based on the reception I have received :o

I know this is the Carnival board, but anyone that plays alot should check out NCL's Casino at Sea program. I get discounted cruises, free drinks in the Casino and treats in the stateroom, and I am by no means a high roller. (They offer comp cruises to high rollers.) Of course, NCL cruising is a very different experience, but lucky for me I enjoy both Carnival and NCL.

I have never had an official number for the players club, that I know of. They still seem to take care of me pretty good on each cruise. It gets a little better each one. I do notify the web site that I am returning. I always make a point of meeting the casino host/manager and thanking them for the comps. Not sure if that helps, but it could not hurt.

My son and I have been getting several letters this year (not email) that invite us back with players credit and sometimes reduced prices on certain cruises......and poker cruises.....every one of those letters have our member numbers on them.......

I also get them from Princess.......

NCL has a casino program because it's affiliated with Harrah's.

Harrah's has many promos offering free cruises for players. I presently have an offer for Las Vegas in July. The promo is a certificate for two people, up to a seven day cruise, inside cabin. Once you get the certificate you can upgrade to a better cabin. They probably offer a better room to bigger players but I'm a low Diamond.

I do have this offer booked but still not sure if I'm going to do it. I could lose alot more than the "best suite on the cruise ship"! LOL And.........that's what they're counting on.

Carnival now is doing the same thing.....they are now affiliated with the Venetian and the Palazzo in Vegas.....I receive the discount cruises and free room at the Venetian from Carnivals players club......

I never received a number either.. I had to sign up three times! First cruise on the Victory.. useless casino staff.. Then on the Miracle.... I signed on again as there was no record from the Victory..

Emailed for my last cruise that we were returning on the Miracle and I received a similar email that someone posted above..

Received a letter from OPC to stop by and introduce ourselves.. I went to meet the Casino Host.. who I have to say was the best CH on any cruise I have been on.. total blast! (Aireguard)

He gave me a drink and a $10 credit..

We got along very well.. and i have to say everytime i was in the Casino and he was there, I drank free. .( and I dont drink alot at all..)

He joined us for karaoke one night and this guy can sing! What is in the water in the Phillipines?? They all sing so well!

He made the casino experience a lot of fun and we left him with a nice tip

NCL's CAS program is now affiliated with Harrah's, but they still offer the discounted/comp cruises based on your previous play onboard their ships. So, if you aren't a Harrah's player, you need to cruise NCL once to establish a baseline and get rated. I rarely get to Harrah's (being in New England I am very happy with my CT casinos) so my Harrah's play doesn't factor into the offers I have had from NCL. I will say Harrah's is very generous with comps at their casinos, even for an ocassional player. Much more generous than the Venetian, at least in my experience!

luvvp, if you have an offer for a comp in NCL's best suite on one of their newer ships, you would be in for quite a treat. I was fortunate to stay in a Courtyard Villa and it was spectacular. I could hardly drag myself away to donate to the casino!

We got 2 bottles of wine delivered at dinner. Waiter said it was from the casino host, do you want red or white. This was on the Splendor. 4 free drinks. I did well on that cruise and made around $1100 that I got to take home. Most of the time I end up giving the money back. I always send a E-mail to the casino host.

I think the problem is with the carnival program it self. Also they dont rate slot play as high as table play for some reason. this is why I have never signed up for their players club. I also usaually spend alot of time and alot of money in the casino yet have never been offered a drink only a t shirt.

It cost you nothing to sign up. At a minimun you will get points and a free drink out of it. They have to know you are there before you will get any comps.

I spent a lot of time in the casino on my November cruise on the Pride (traveled solo). They had me fill in the players club application but never got a number or a card.

Now traveling in 2 weeks on the Valor. I contacted them through Email as shown by OP and got the standard "you are on the list" email back. I also called them and asked them to rate my play from the last cruise. They did and I have a little cash waiting for me at the cage!

I also recieved an offer in the mail for Club Grazie (partnership with Venitian Hotel in Vegas). 4 nights in a mini-suite, 200 in match play, free dinner and nightclub pass! Booked it the same day I got it, no questions asked and no catch!

Sounds good to me so far....

Good luck and Happy Cruising!

Aloha,

Kat

Thanks for all your responses - very interesting.

I sent the E mail to Players Club - if I don't get a response perhaps I will call. Our sailing is close - July30

Funny about Carnival being affilated with Venetian/Palazzo in Vegas.

Yesterday I received an offer in the mail from the Venetian/Palazzo w/Carnival logo on it. 2-4 nights comp stay in suite - $150.00 slot play credit, $20 drink voucher - free adminission for 4 to Lavo and a special wecome gift. Unfortunately its only good thru Sept 30 and I don't see us getting to Vegas by then.

I have never played at the Venetian as we are Harrahs players - Harrahs has comped me 6 nights in Vegas (Paris) last year. I do have the NCL players Card and a number.

So...I am guess Players Club has info on me from my Victory cruise - therefore the Vegas mailing.??
