Smoking on Balconies?

Princess is already loosing plenty of business from all those who have been unable to enjoy a Balcony they paid good money for and could not use thanks to a smoker

We are not born with cigarettes hanging out of our mouths and others have the right to enjoy smoke free air

On our last cruise many many people wrote on their comment forms that :-

"until Princess faces and deals sensibly with the smoking issue they will not book another Princess cruise "

I do agree with you thinking & we stopped booking balconies after a few unpleasant experiences. I think it would be hard to predict what would be better for the cruise line.

Maybe this would help the smoking situation.

Explain what "faces and deals sensibly with the smoking issue" means to you. Totally non-smoking? I for one don't think that will happen any time soon, especially in this economic climate. There are very limited areas where smokers can smoke and their cabin and balcony are part of the "smoking section". They aren't doing anything wrong or illegal though many want to make them feel like they are. Before you ask, yes, I am a smoker but I only smoke in my cabin, in the casino and the bar.....where it is allowed. For those who are thinking of going on the Diamond to Alaska September 4, 2010 we will be in the Grand Suite, aft, and we will be smoking, you have been warned.

There not loosing any business because there are many to take their place when they cancel, and the ships still sail full. :)
