Dancer76 Posted July 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2009 Hi I am still trying to work out the finances for our holiday next year. Am I right in thinking that AE comes with full suite perks and pretty much the only difference is location on ship and size of balcony? I still would like AD but cost is coming in around £ 800 extra than AE for 2 persons. Thanks Lisa
chefcaw Posted July 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2009 The AE comes with full suite perks, the AD is a larger cabin. If the cruise is a port intensive cruise, book the AE and spend the extra in the ports. Chris
SuzyLovesNCL Posted July 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Hey Lisa, We just cruised the Jade in an AE this April and it was great! The only difference in the rooms is the size of the balcony. The AD could hold 2 lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs, but on our AE balcony we had one lounge and two regular chairs. We chose the AE for exactly the reason you're considering. The extra $$ we saved by choosing the smaller balcony went a LONG way toward paying for our shore excursions. Either way, you will LOVE the suite life!! Enjoy your cruise! garycarla Posted July 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Somebody asked this last week. the conclusion was the only difference was the balcony. Perks in exactly the same.
Pickels Posted July 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Somebody asked this last week. the conclusion was the only difference was the balcony. Perks in exactly the same. I belive the AD cabins are bigger than AE; could be wrong, but looking at NCL's deck plans and from what others have said, I could be right!
