dusababy Posted July 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2009 FlyerTalker or other experts -- I know there's a site where one can check what equipment is used on a particular route/scheduled flight, plus other pertinent info if I'm correct. Please advise -- I know I can check statistics on Seat Guru, but need to know for sure what I'm flying on. Please advise - thanks in advance. Rare Gardyloo Posted July 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2009 There are numerous websites, but it would help if you mentioned the airline, route and approximate dates, as equipment can change, sometimes from one day to the next. Otherwise you can use http://www.itasoftware.com and it will say the operating airline and aircraft model, but not the applicable seating configurations. Rare FlyerTalker Posted July 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2009 Expert Flyer will bring up both the equipment and can access the GDS seatmap. I think that all airline websites will show equipment and operating carrier as well. FWIW, UA recently signed a consent decree and paid $80K for violations on the regs relating to disclosure of code share operations.
steve20832 Posted July 11, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2009 Any airline can (and sometimes do) change the aircraft without giving the customer any notice. So anything you read is not guaranteed.
dusababy Posted July 11, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted July 11, 2009 The itasoftware site was the one I was looking for. I have 3 trips scheduled -- so have the details from which to start. Now I just want to find equipment (probably) and can check my seat assignment on seat guru. I'll bookmark -- appreciate the quick response.
