Barbarina Posted July 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2009 Hello, we are taking a cruise out of Seward, and would like to take a Helicpoter ride to the Glacier with dogsledding. I find the rates in Seward to be a little less expensive than in Juneau and am considering doing it before we board the cruise. Can someone comment on which is a better place to take this tour? are both Glaciers as nice or is one better than the other? thanks..!!
CalifCruiser1 Posted July 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2009 I would say a couple of things first is there something else you want to do in Juneau? If so then do the Seward one so you have more experiences. If not I've heard from fellow passengers on our other cruises that Juneau has a awesome heli/dog sledding tour try Coastal Helicopters but also since they go higher they have a chance of more fog /bad weather so this is something to think about good luck Karon:)
Budget Queen Posted July 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2009 Juneau is the most canceled location for glacier dog sledding. Book where it fits your time best, no way to predict the future on flights.
