I Love NC Posted July 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Don't get stung! YOU MUST refer your friends PRIOR to even placing a complimentary hold on the cabins!! John Q Public considers a deposit to be a booking, BUT Princess considers a "hold" to be a booking. If you refer friends after the "complimentary hold"....none of you will qualify for the referal credits! Princess told me that when a complimentary hold is placed, even on a guarantee, it is taken out of inventory. Princess Policy needs to be clearer. If they have a hold on a cabin, they are already considering Princess. Why would Princess pay for a referal?
Clutterlady Posted July 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Makes sense to me. If they have a hold on a cabin, they are already considering Princess. Why would Princess pay for a referal? Gotta agree......when we used the referral program we added our friends names as soon as they said they would consider the cruise! You have to be one step ahead:)
Toto2Kansas Posted July 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Add me to the list of those that agree. Even a hold on a cabin means they are considering Princess, so why would they need to be referred?
FLACRUISER99 Posted July 17, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Can't figure out why they are so cheap with this after all its only $25.
Colo Cruiser Posted July 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2009 This would even be before a comp hold, if they call and enquire then they will be placed into the system which would void any referral.
I Love NC Posted July 18, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted July 18, 2009 Colo Cruiser.....you are absolutely correct.... we all called Customer Service to see why that determination was made....... Our friends were told they had requested a brochure in 2005....and as such had a "pending Captain's Club number" BUT THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A PRINCESS SHIP!! AND they had a cabin on hold! Then I called and it was further explained to me that the HOLD made the $25 referral program void! HOLD to Princess is the same as deposit for purchasing the product. Offer a "Product" to customers and hide the fine print!!!
