 Not sure if I'm using the correct terminology... Last cruise to Alaska, there were times we just walked off the boat onto a dock and other times we were "tendered" and needed to take a smaller boat to shore... We are sailing on the Dawn 8/9 to the Dockyard... are we docked or do we need to take a smaller boat to the dock?? Thanks for all your help.....:)

When we were in Bermuda in 2000 I saw two ships that appeared to be "parked" out in the water...and I thought that the folks would have to be tendered.

Maybe it was, but isn't now?

The Dawn is always docked at the Dockyard. You can walk right off and they have a decent shopping/eating area right there. However, I absolutely recommend getting the transportation pass which allows you to take all buses and ferries. The best way to get to Hamilton and St. Georges is by ferry. Best way to the beach is by bus.

While they were building the new Heritage Wharf, sometimes a ship or two had to tender because there wasn't enough room for them. That's not the case anymore. Both the Spirit and the Dawn dock at Heritage Wharf. And, the Majesty docks at St. Georges.
