kitty9 Posted July 20, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2009 Actually, there are three ports: Southampton, Dover and Harwich. All three are located very far apart. So which one are you asking about?
peterv Posted July 20, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2009 It really depends on the ship, there are also three more, Tower Bridge and Greenwich which are actually in London and the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury. Cheers, Peter
History addict Posted July 20, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2009 I agree with peterv - Port of London is the name given to the places where ships berth in the Thames within London. As the OP states this rather than port for London then it implies this is where he is heading. If this is the case, then the most inexpensive way of getting into London and out the other side is using the tube although whether this is feasible will depend on how much baggage they have with them.
