Cost of cable car in Gibraltar

Can someone tell me how much it costs to go on the cable car please? I presume you get return tickets? Am I right to think you stop part way up to see the apes?

The last time we were there the cost was 13.5 Euros per person (round trip) which is around $20. There are two stops on the way up, one of which is about half-way and near some of the monkey habitats and the other stop is at the top. We love to take the cable car up to the top and than take our time walking down to the mid-station (this is a pretty long walk but most of it is on a downward slope). By doing the walk we can stop at the cave (there is a cafe) and get some really nice views of the back of the island from a viewing area just before you reach the caves. The walk also takes you near quite a few of the monkeys. We have noticed that in recent years the monkeys seem to have less interest in tourists. Some attribute that to the fact that the island now takes very good care of the monkeys.

Now that is a darn good question. The monkeys are totally free to go anywhere they please...including your hair. That being said, we have never had a problem with the monkeys and they generally mind their own business unless you try to encourage them. Whatever you do, do not carry food and do not try to feed them (they have warning signs about not feeding the monkeys). Also keep in mind that the Gibraltar monkeys are quite small and are very comfortable around people.
