JuniorCruiser Posted July 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2009 Would really love to get a chance to sail on her. Does anyone know if they will be bringing her to New York? I know they always bring their new ships here but with her size i don't know if they would have a problem docking her here. Thanks for any replies or rumors you might have heard ;) ~~Debbie~~
TrikeRider Posted July 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2009 I can't help you but to say I WISH. I love sailing out of NY/NJ - it seems all the new, big ships are kept south.

Beanie01 Posted July 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2009 Oh, the good thing about living in south Florida (after having lived in New York City for 11 years), I'm booked on the Epic 9/25/10 out of Miami! Only an hour's drive south! Yeah me!!!:D
sjbdtz Posted July 21, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2009 Although it's just rumour, the Transatlantic is believed to be heading to NYC. Presumably they'd then do a couple of CTNs, and then sail empty (or non-revenue....to avoid confounding the Jones Act) to Miami for the inaugural.... But that's just what "I" expect....and I have no inside scoop, nor do i have a scoop, inside. ;)
tokidoki Posted July 21, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2009 ;););)When I spoke to my cc recently, about the Epic, she said that she might be heading here for a short cruise!!

It would be nice to give the North a shot at her even if it's just a CTN.:)
KarmaElectra Posted July 22, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 22, 2009 I really don't think the Epic (or the Oasis of the Seas, for that matter) would fit in New York.
CaptData Posted July 22, 2009 #9 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Can the bridge be raised or portion removed for several hours? Yes I am from Canada and I do know that this is a major thru fare for this area. I have driven it once in the back of a limo (I do not want to commit suicide).
