Charlie2na Posted July 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2009 We have been on 3 cruises prior to looking at the Carnival Legend. Can we get away without suits and gowns by dining in the Lido?
*Mach* Posted July 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Formal nights have been renamed Elegant nights... The dress code has been relaxed by quite a bit: Cruise Elegant Dining Dress Code: Gentlemen - Dress slacks, dress shirts. We also suggest a sport coat. If you wish to wear suits and ties or tuxedos, by all means we invite you to do so. Ladies - Cocktail dresses, pantsuits, elegant skirts and blouses; if you‘d like to show off your evening gowns, that's great too! Not permitted in the dining room during the Cruise Elegant dinner for ladies and gentlemen: shorts, gym shorts, T-shirts, beach flip-flops, bathing suit attire, jeans, cut-off jeans, sleeveless shirts for men, sportswear, and baseball hats. http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Dress_Attire.aspx

Aplmac Posted July 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Can we get away without suits and gowns by dining in the Lido? Yes you can.Lido remains totally relaxed and informal. If you don't want to do the dress-up thing for the dining rooms, Lido is your option! ;) .
