LindaKE Posted July 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2009 I just noticed that the Spirit is scheduled to arrive in Quebec at 6:00 am (cruise Boston to Quebec). I don't know whether that has changed or if it has always been that time and I just assumed arrival at 8:00 as we have always done. Anyway, does that mean we will start disembarking 2 hours earlier than usual? If so, when should we arrange to be picked up? We are thinking about arranging a tour through a company that will pick us up at the dock and give us a tour so our luggage would be with us. deepnite10 Posted July 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2009 if they re telling you 6am..i see no reason to doubt them..or you can call NCL and varify debarkation.. is this debarkation?..or just a port of call ?..in my experience we usually debark for a port of call within an hr.. sjbdtz Posted July 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2009 Don't forget to allow time to clear Canada Customs & Immigration. You're entering a new country, so it can be slower than just arriving & disembarking. So things to consider: a) will the ship be on time at 6a.m.? b) how long until the ship is cleared? c) do you have priority disembarkation? d) will you be doing self-disembark (carry all your own luggage...i.e. none left in the hallway the night before) e) Customs & Immigration I'd suggest that given all of this, you shoot for 9a.m. This will give you LOTS of time to disembark & go through customs...without paying a driver to wait outside for you. LONGER, if you are waiting for a colour to be called, and then finding your luggage on the pier.
