We just returned from the Abazzia Hotel. It's the #1 rated hotel close to the train station and port on the Trip Advisor. We LOVED the people there and it was close to everything. The garden area with the included breakfast each day was unreal. You can email me if you want for some contact info and some photos. We can't wait to go back there!

Well, certainly #1 for the 7 AM wake-up call from the church bells!:)

And the bells, morning and late night, may be the #1 thing I love about Venice. Nothing evokes a stronger positive memory than thinking about listening to the bells as I awaken, or a sense of calm in the evening walking home from St. Mark's.
