crusingsquid Posted August 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2009 :confused:I have been to Bermuda 2x now. One land vacation and one cruise. We are planning to go again with some friends. One thing I found very disappointing was when snokeling the amount of colorful and different fish there are. Down in the caribbean there are so many beautiful fish and I find I don't see that in Bermuda. Is it do to the cooler water? Am I not going to the right snokeling spots? Can someone let me know their experience with this and if there is a better spot to see all the beautiful amazing fish I thought there would be...

iheartbda Posted August 5, 2009 #10 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Thank you. I should try Tobacco Bay. Sounds great. Seeing a baby octopus would make my day. I guess where I was, it was a bad location. Not necessarily. On any given day at any place you can see many or few. We've always had good luck at Tobacco Bay but others said it was a bust. Last year at Church Bay, we didn't see anything. Maybe we didn't spend enough time there but it tends to be rough and I got tired of being bounced around. Beautiful uncrowded beach though. aeu Posted August 19, 2009 #13 Share Posted August 19, 2009 I had great snorkeling experiences right at Snorkel Bay in the Dockyard. A wide variety of colorful fish -- especially big parrot fish.
JamieEvan Posted August 24, 2009 #14 Share Posted August 24, 2009 Just wanted to update that I was in Bermuda on the Majesty this past week and went to Church Bay for the first time. It may be my new favorite spot. The most unusual thing I saw was a moray eel.
