Acapulco, Casablanca Hotel worth seeing???

Has anyone been to the Casablanca Hotel lately? I hear it is being renovated and is not worth seeing. We are going to Acapulco in March 2010 and wonder if it is worth seeing if it is still under renovation? Please share your ideas

My recollection is that the derelict property is being renovated and that the upgraded units are being turned into small apartments which will or are being marketed as condominiums.

Jones391, my wife and I were there last Nov and it was in poor condition. Not really worth the time.

What about the view from there? Our tour guide for Nov is taking us there but for pictures of the "great panoramic view of the bay area". Is the view nice at least?

The ballroom on the second floor does have floor to glass windows and does allow for a great view as well as the balcony.
