We really enjoyed our excursion with Captain Nautica. (I voted for the second option, since it's not the best excursion ever--but I would do it again.)

The other excursion that we liked a lot in St. Thomas was kayaking the mangrove lagoon.

thank you!
geoherb...was the snorkling from shore or jump out of the boat? Easy to get back in the boat?
Also, do they have drinks (beer) on the way back or just soft drinks?

I went, it was great. I voted for the second. We would recommend it to anyone. Only 5 people on our group. The speedboating part was fun. Our first snorkeling spot, we were the only 5 people there. Then on to Honeymoon beach. They did have fruit and drinks, I don't remember if they were alcoholic or not. Was a wonderful excursion. Couldn't believe how lucky we were to be part of such a small group. Here's a couple of pictures:

The boat is on the left:

and here is another shot at the first snorkeling spot:

We have been snorkeling with Captn Nautica 3 times through Princess cruises and would do it again next time in St. Thomas!! We ordinarily do NOT book excursions through ship but this one is a MUST-DO!! A little more expensive than other snorkel trips at St. T but it's DEFINITELY worth the extra $$.
