jan6182 Posted August 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Hi everyone... fellow cruiser here (but never on HAL... yet). We have a wedding coming up and the couple is taking a cruise on the Oosterdam out of Barcelona (Sept. 23). I would like to get them something for the cruise, and spend no more than $150.00. Do you have any recommendations for on-board gifts? I know an OBC is the best bet, but maybe that with something else? Thanks for your help. sail7seas Posted August 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Dinner Reservations at Pinnacle ( The alternative restaurant which is wonderful) and a great bottle of wine? Dinner is $20 pp ..... wine, of course, great variation in price but what a lovely evening you could plan for them.

dandro Posted August 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2009 http://www.hollandamerica.com/cruise-vacation-planning/OnboardGifts.action I like the "Let's Celebrate" package... includes flowers, champagne, 10x7 activity sheet and dinner for two in the Pinnacle Grill. happy cruzer Posted August 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Just but money in their OBC (onboad credit account) and they can spend it as they wish.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 9, 2009 #7 Share Posted August 9, 2009 I would definitely buy them dinner at the Pinnacle -- $40 for 2 people. They can select the date they want to go there once they are on the ship. Then put the rest as shipboard credit so that they can buy their own drinks, wine, etc. JMO -- but I would never give a massage as gift. Many people don't like them.
