Has Anyone Had Gluten-Free Dining Onboard?

I am looking forward to dining onboard and will need to have gluten-free options. I am sailing on Insignia in October 2009. I would appreciate hearing about any gluten-free dining experiences, good or bad, on the ship, or on Oceania as a whole. Thanks!:)

If you have not contacted Special Services yet I would do it now so they have food aboard. I think it is 60 prior to sailing

As per website

Special arrangements can be made if you require Diabetic, Gluten-free, Lactose-free, Kosher, Vegetarian and Vegan. Other diets must be requested for approval and, in some cases, may require additional medical documentation.

We had dinner one night on an Oceania cruise with a woman who was gluten intolerant. At the start of the cruise, she had given the checf a laminated card she always carries with her that detailed her restrictions. Every evening, she would meet with a waiter and select her meal for the following evening. They brought her special bread and cookies that she could eat.
