Both are nice ships & either should be fine for a family cruise.

I love Cnquest class of ships & have felt crowded.

Booking same cabin would be more convenient. No packing to switch cabins. Are you doing a different intinary for each week?

Lots of good hotels close to port in FT Lauderdale. Holiday Inns are reasonable prices. Close to airport & most have shuttles to the port.

Enjoy :)

Do Larger Carnival ships get packed on sea days The people have no place to go if the ship is not in port.

You would not have to get off the ship aftrer the first one when everyone else is leaving. You might have to get off to clear customs and get your new S&S card, but it's a short time. Plus if you have the same cabin, you don't have to pack.

Check out the North American Homeports board, East Coast Departures, Florida Departures for hotel recommendations.

If you are staying on the same ship, and you are from the UK the chances are they will have all the non-US passport holders called to a lounge to do immigration early, so you might not have to get off at all on the turnaround day. EM

I think that all the Carnival ships are good for families. You should be able to have a great time on any of them.

My wife and I only had a problem one day on our first cruise with have problems find a chair on the Lido deck. As for the rest of the ship we have never had any trouble.

Everyone has to get off of the ship. Then they will have you reboard when they are ready. I do believe they let you go to the VIP area for your wait.

There is a Courtyard right across from the beach that I stayed in years ago which is nicely located.

I would pick a ship that does eastern one week and western the other week and do a B2B on the same ship and pick the same cabin for both weeks, so you dont have to pack up. I think both these ships might do that.

Im doing a B2B on Conquest next month, and we see different ports each week. The bad news is the shows will be the same (and we have already seen them anyway.)

Which Carnival Ship would u recomend for familys the Freedom or the Glory The Freedom and the Glory are sister ships with the Freedom being the newer of the 2. Both are great and are my favorite class of ship.

Do Larger Carnival ships get packed on sea days The area right around the pools can be crowded, but because there are so many activities going on all over the ship, I've never felt too crowded.

We are thinking to join two 7 day cruises up and arange flights if we booked the same cabin for each one what would happen ?? We've done this on the Glory and it was great. We were told to meet in the Lobby at a certain time in the morning (9:30) we were escorted off the ship with about 6 other B2B guests. They took us through a Immagration line where our passports were swiped, into the VIP guest lounge for our new S&S cards and new onboard account setups. We were off the ship for about 30 minutes total, and had the ship to ourselves until about 11:30.

We were in the same cabin, so we told our steward to just give us clean towels and we'd make our own beds

Can anyone sugest any good over night hotels near Ft Launderdale I've never flown into FLL, but I usually stay at the Intercontinental in Miami.
