Help please

Booked cruise and air through a well known TA who also do flights.

To cut a long story short not helpful at all, we need our flight confirmation to book seats as our daughter has learning difficulties and would be very unhappy sitting on her own. They insist they dont have this information yet, but having phoned RC direct they tell me that they passed our flight details to TA in June which coresponds with what I was told when I booked.

RC have given me the booking referance but although they can hold seats they cant be confirmed except by our TA

E.Mailed TA yesterday morning and still waiting for them to get back to me even though the seats can only be held till tommorrow

Help where do I go from here.

RC have been great.

Moral of this story book direct with cruiseline

Contact the airline yourself. You should have the locator (six character code) and use that to reserve your seats.

Also, advise the airline about your daughter's situation.

Finally, the moral isn't to book direct. It's to be with a TA that will provide service to their clients, both before and after the purchase. Do your research on agencies and get a good one -- even if they don't have the rock-bottom pricing that many of the "no-service" agents promote. Perhaps you can't change now, but for your next trip -- research first!

Sounds like the air was booked through the cruise line

We cannot book seats until 24 hrs prior to flights

I would think it may be the same in the UK

I would call the airline & advise them of your daughter's situation...you do not say how old she is ...they would probably seat her with one of you.

I would call the cruise line. With the reference number you were given I am sure they can do the seat assignments for you.

The moral of the story is to dump the TA. Talk to friends and find a TA who they recommend. A good TA is important to have for your cruises and for other items such as this one.

Good luck.

Thanks to one and all, have managed to resolve the situation between the TA and Royal Carribean the seats are now booked and RC has asked The TA to check with the airline in a couple of days to double check.

Thanks again
