book your next cruise while on the ship?

My wife and I are headed to Bermuda on the 30th. There is also a cruise we're looking to take net summer. I know NCL offers free OBC if we put a deposit down on a future cruise while on the ship, but what are the details of it? From what Ive read- you dont have to choose which date, sailing, ship, destination, etc to get the OBC: you just have to put a deposit into your account? Are there any restrictions as to the legth to get the $100 OBC? If we book a 12 night in advance or if we book a cruise to nowhere, we still get $100 OBC either way? Can this $100 OBC be used to pay for tips (or did they do away with the $10/pp pd)?

Pretty much I need all the details now i advance of this promotion as I'm sure onboard it will be all sugar coated :)

all you have to do is agree to book within a certain amount of time. You will be charged $250 on your cc and get a $100 OBC, what a deal. We always do this. In fact I just booked 3 cabins today for clients, all had done this on their last cruise and none had to come up with any more deposit, just the $250 they had on hold.

Here is something from the NCL website: People everywhere are discovering the joys of Freestyle Cruising. But now there's a new way to make your cruise even more rewarding. Simply place a $250 deposit for a future NCL cruise next time you're on board with us and we'll give you a $100 on-board credit to use right away. It's good for Shore Excursions, spa treatments, casino play - almost anything you want. You don't have to choose your sail date or itinerary. Just book when you want to wherever you want within the next four years. It's the super easy, Freestyle way to earn $100 on the spot.

For more info on Cruise Rewards see your Cruise Consultant while on board or call 1.866.234.7352.

By the way, not only did they not do away with the $10 pp/pd, but it was raised to $12. Enjoy your cruises.

It is a very simple promo.

You give them $250. They give you $100 instant OBC for your current cruise.

You get a certificate that serves as a $250 deposit for future cruise. No restrictions on type of cruise.

You do not, and actually can not book the cruise while onboard. You have lots of time ( 4 years?) to take the cruise. The $250 is non refundable.

The $100 is a credit on your account, just like if you made a payment. Yes, it can be used for gratutity in case you are one of those people that do not spend money on other stuff onboard.

PS - The daily tip/service charge is $12 per day per person.

The link in the posting above (while I was writing mine) has all the details. Nothing sneaky at all about this promo.

If you choose to do the $250 deposit on board, can you still book through any travel agency, or do you need to go through NCL? I'm interested in doing this on my Nov. cruise.

You can use a TA, book on-line, or with NCL.

I have 2 sitting right in front of me right now as I am contemplating what cruises they will go to!

The deposit is refundable within the first 30 days if you change your mind, minus the $100 OBC of course.

can I purchase two deposit vouchers while on board and earn an instant $200 on board credit?

If so can I use both of those vouchers to book one cabin?

You can purchase multiple vouchers and get $100 each instant OBC.

You can only use one per cabin booked though. Otherwise, I would buy ten of them and get $1,000 instantly. NCL is not that stupid.
