Holiday Inn Express San Juan

We stayed here after a repo into San Juan. We took the rainforest tour and the driver dropped us right at the hotel.

It was fine - typical HIExpress, booked online from the UK. Breakfast was fine but busy - we ate outside around the small outdoor pool. 2 minute walk to a great beach. 1 minute walk to the grocery store.

Easy cheap trip to the airport. Can't recall the cost of the taxi ride into Old San Juan for the evening but it can't have been that expensive, else I would remember!

We stayed there a couple of years ago right before a cruise and it was fine!

If you are used to 5 star hotels however this may not be the one for you.

The staff was efficient, the rooms were clean, breakfast was fine and restaurants and beaches very nearby.:)

We stayed there when we sailed on AOS and have re-booked for this January Serenade sailing.

Typical HIExpress. Close to airport. Free Brkfst. Plenty of places to grab a bite to eat at night-or they have a grill-right by the pool and they have a shuttle that goes to the pier.

We like it as it is only a place to sleep the night befor our cruise so we don't require all the bells and whistles.

Stayed there as well and echo all the previous comments. Great for one night but that's about it... Tons of restaurants / shops within a few minutes walk.

Also stayed on the post at the Embassy Suites by the airport... nice pool, free cooked to order breakfast and evening cocktail hr...and you have the two room suites.

We stayed there a couple years ago pre Destiny criuse, The staff were ok at best, the hotel was clean and our room was one of the best we've stayed in. There are restraunt chains like Burger King to Chili's within a 5 minute walk, there are also several local restauntsa very close to. The night life is busy and we always felt comfortable walking around. We would certainly stay there again. It's a little more than half way to the cruise port from the airport.
