Looking at excursions from the ship. There is one for the Amber Museum.

The description is the following...

Your encounter begins atop the famous 99 Steps where you enter the stunning colonial manor house of the family Haagensen, built in 1827, and containing priceless original West Indian objects and works of art. Next, you embark on a journey of the creation of amber. In the Rainforest Room you'll learn the history of this exceptional gemstone: fossilized tree resin from the world's prehistoric jungles. See the "Dino Print" - a piece with a dinosaur's footprint, ancient amber jewelry from 4000 BC, the "Master's Box" sculpted by the Chief Artisan of the renovated Amber Room in St. Petersburg, Russia as well as the awe inspiring Caribbean World Amber waterfall, the largest in the world, cascading two-stories down and comprised of over 12,000 stones of amber from various parts of the world.

At the completion of your visit it's just steps to Main Street to indulge your passion for the great recommended shopping in St. Thomas and return to the ship at leisure via harbor cruise.

Has anyone taken this excursion. Just wondering about the return to the ship via harbour cruise. We have been to St Thomas a few times but just did beach and shopping.

Also docking in Havensight, has anyone walked to the K Mart from the ship?

Thank you Rianvi

I think the return by harbor cruise is new. In the past, you had to get back to the ship on your own. I saw a ship docked at the Waterfront with a sign "Harbor Cruise" the other day, so maybe that's the return ship? It looks like a fairly old, passenger ferry boat.

Thank you for your response Ms411. This past Feb. we used the Pirates Harbor shopping tour and enjoyed it. Got around easily. But I understand that they are no longer in business.
