  1. It looks to me that the fish in the boxes to the immediate rear of the truck are sitting in ice. The one box further away doesn't appear to be iced, but could still be frozen.
  2. As far as scenery, its open seas as you sail over to Catalina. The ferry docks at what is generally the southern end of the small town. The town is very easily walked.
  3. Take an Uber or Lyft. You can make it, but remember you are arriving at FLL in the crush of passengers getting off the ships in Port Everglades as well.
  4. Wise choice for changing your flights. The ground logistics to make a 11:30 flight out of FLL when sailing out of PortMiami are discussed on the Florida Departures board daily. Remember, its a 45 minute or so drive, and you will be arriving in the middle of the crush from Port Everglades. You can do it, but its not going to be a relaxing morning.
  5. The terminal is open from the arrival of the ship that morning. However, check in features won't be open before 10am, maybe 10:30.
  6. This can vary by the demographics of each cruise. Just got off 14 days on Zaandam. It was the latest eating crowd I have ever seen on a cruise. At 5:30, the two dining rooms combined might have been a total of 25% full.
  7. Not in October, when the OP is going to be there.
  8. You don't need the Yellow Fever shot, or any other shot.
  9. Its not a Volendam procedure, it is what the local authorities require. You will not have to "check in" or "check out". Are you in the same cabin both cruises? If you are, nothing will be required in relation to the status of your room or being on board. If not, you will work with your cabin stewards to transfer as quickly and easily as possible, and you will be issued new room keys, for your new room. As to Immigration procedures, the most you will have to do is a joint procedure with anyone else in the same situation, (like you would at US ports) which may involve meeting Immigration officials somewhere, either on the ship, or ashore. However, as you have stopped at other Canadian ports, chances are good you will do nothing at all. The best case scenario is you have to do nothing, you simply treat it as another port stop. This is common in most non-US ports. In any case, you will receive detailed written instructions a couple days before you reach Montreal. You will have plenty of time to explore Montreal.
  10. If you look around, you will find this sort of question asked frequently, just substitute the countries a little. The general answer is we don't know your spending style, and what you will be buying. But I can say we spent 2 weeks on a land tour in Europe (Amsterdam, and various stops in France), and we spent less than 80 euros in cash. We ate out twice a day, stayed in hotels, took buses, trains and a couple taxis. In other words, you need very little cash. Certainly no more than 100 euros.
  11. You can go to sncf.com to see about the train schedule.
  12. The Hilton DoubleTree is right next door. Middle of the road quality hotel.
  13. Air flight issues are discussed on the Cruise Air board. Logistics for getting to Seattle Airport are discussed on the West Coast Departures board. I would go for the 11:30 flight, or stay overnight, and catch the 11:30 ( or earlier) flight the next day.
  14. The band could change some or all of its members at any starting port, on any given cruise.
