I made a video of my cruise on the Breeze out of Galveston

I sailed with my best friend / old college roommate one year ago, in August, 2016.

I hope y’all enjoy the video.

Our itinerary was:

Cozumel - Whale Sharks Snorkel

Belize - River Safari & Lamanai Ruins

Roatan - Andrew hung out at Mahagony Bay and I spent the day at Paya Bay Resort.

We loved the ship. Allure String Trio was onboard and amazing!

It was ship excursion. And as much as I got some amazing footage, I wouldn’t recommend it.

It was a 45 minute ferry, 90 minute bus ride, then another 90-120 minutes out on a very rough boat ride. When we got to the whale sharks, they only allowed one person in the water at a time, which is not what we expected. Because of this, they basically shove you in and give you 1-2 minutes to see them up close and then it’s the next person’s turn. I got to go in twice, but was expecting they’d let the group in together for about 45 minutes or so.

Overall, $200 for an entire day of transport to and from with a total of about 3 minutes in the water wasn’t worth it, and totally blew my day.

If you can find a private operator that will give you more time in the water, it would be totally worth it. They are incredible, beautiful, gentle creatures.
