Platinum Boarding Issue On Carnival

This is all correct. A couple of things:

1. As you enter the lounge, tell your son that this is what it is like to have proper status. Have him survey the sea of humanity in the general boarding area and strongly suggest he work hard to reach the Platinum level.

2. Before you even get to the cruise port, teach him the proper Royalty Wave (hand slightly curved, thumb tuck in towards your palm and the back of the hand facing the public). As you leave the lounge, do the Platinum Royalty Wave as you are escorted past the crowds to your awaiting cruise ship!

Note on # 1: Or you can just tell him to pony up $59.00 and get the same basic benefits without having to wait or show any kind of loyalty.

My husband and I are platinum in 1 room and our kids 21 and 11 are gold in a separate room. I'm assuming that they would not be able to board with us since one is an adult. No big deal to wait with them to board later. Just curious since one is a minor and not rooming with a parent.

So far the poll seems to be going in the "no Problem" direction...Sure hope that's right. Would be pretty bad to be broken up. Yes, we are on the same booking number, same room. Anybody else want to chime in on experiences with this type of thingy.

I was platinum and my friend was gold.  The guy told me I could go ahead but friend had to wait.  I emphatically told him no, we are in the same cabin we can go together.  He asked someone else and then apologized for the misinformation.  Her cruise card was with mine in the platinum area.

Correct, at least by Carnival's rules. Whether they're followed in any particular port or embarkation is a guess.
