gundog1509 Posted March 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2017 I have read somewhere that on arrival at Birmingham airport when checking your suitcases in you do not have to collect them at Dubrovnik airport as they are sent direct to your cabin on the Thomson Spirit, how does this work?. SuiteTraveler Posted March 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Here, people are discussing this: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=999379 I believe you will have to go to luggage claim and claim your luggage and give it to the Thompson reps. If you are on a Thompson chartered flight, the air hostess may know and give you instruction, but what I would say is DO NOT leave the baggage claim until you know either way otherwise you will have to go back through airport security and walk all the way through the airport to get back to baggage claim to get your luggage. Rare FlyerTalker Posted March 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2017 You will also have immigration and customs procedures upon arrival. Rarely have I seen customs occur without taking through your luggage.
newport dave Posted March 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 27, 2017 Thomsons have deals in place with a few customs and immigration services around the world where cases and passengers go direct to the ship from the plane missing out customs and immigration. Not sure if Dubrovnik is on that list.
