Hotels near the Port of Baltimore

Recommended Posts

We've stayed twice at the Best Western on O'Donnell St. It's an industrial area so it's not very pretty but the room was clean and the beds comfy. It was right off the highway and about 15 minutes from the port.

They have a shuttle to the Inner Harbor and the included breakfast was decent. You have to call the hotel directly (not the 800 number) and ask for the front desk, not reservations. Tell them you want the Stay and Sail package.

It was around $170 for a double and it includes parking for the week and a fantastic shuttle to the port. The drivers are awesome.

As the Pride doesn't get in until 10am, and boarding is a little later than say Miami or Fort Lauderdale, unless you are relying on the hotel for transportation to the port, there are many better options than the hotels near the port. I use the Hilton, Marriott, and IHG websites and set the search to within 40 kms. You have a ton of choices for every price range and room style preferences.

Anyone have any recommendations for hotels near the Port of Baltimore? I was going to stay with family but some of them are not the most reliable when it comes to getting places on time.:(

What area are you coming from ?

So the hotels closest to the Cruise Terminal are in the Inner Harbor. Their location also gives you plenty to do while you're there (shopping, dining, National Aquarium, sports venues, etc). The down side is that they are the big hotel chains like Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton, so they are not the cheapest options. Nor do they have the "Stay and Park" option, so you'll have to park your car at the Cruise Terminal ($105 for the week). As mentioned, there are several hotels that provide the parking service and shuttle to and from the Terminal, but they are farther out and mostly not in very desirable locations (ex. by BWI airport, which is not close to anything!).

You can try the Holiday Inn Express- they have a stay and cruise package. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the port and right between M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens) and Camden yards (Baltimore Orioles) so you may be able to catch a baseball game while you're in town. If you wanted to head to Inner Harbor for some touristy stuff to do, you may want to look into getting an uber or you can drive there (about 5-10 minutes away) but parking in the city can be pricey. There is also the Horseshoe Casino across the street from the hotel if you are so inclined ;)
