Port vs. Starboard Infinity South America

We need help choosing a cabin to have the best view from our balcony on our Infinity cruise from Buenos Aires to Santiago. Probably will choose sky suite to enjoy Luminae again! Thanks for the help!!

In my simple mind and lack of real thinking I would think that you would want to be on the starboard side or the right side toward land. If that's not correct let me know so I can change my reservation.

Additionally I just changed from balcony to outside view for this cruise because of the potential cooler weather. Did I make a mistake there as well?

That sounds right to me, but geography was never my best subject:)

We love our own balcony, and will just wrap up during cooler weather.

We are heading on after Santiago to San Francisco , and we have a balcony for that leg of the trip and it will come in handy then. Much warmer near the equator.

We did Around the Horn from BA to Valpo on the port side. There are a few places where you can see the shore, but it really doesn't matter which side you are on.

Going around Cape Horn the Captain will do a 360 so everyone can see. Still it is best when at the Cape to view from deck 10 or 11.

We did the cruise in January and it was very hot on the Northern part of the cruise. However, it does get a bit chilly at the south End. While going around the Horn you will need a warm jacket. I had a good one with a hoodie.

This is a wonderful cruise.

Often arrive early to port and leave later and are soon out of sight of land. Is an aft C1 available? Or even better an FV? We did a b2b BA to Ft Lauderdale in a aft C1 and really enjoyed the veranda. When no wind we could move to the front and when cooler and windier could lounge back near the door. It will be the wind that will be bothersome. The further south we went the worse it got. But a really enjoyable cruise. And do plan on going to Iguazu Falls.

Thank you so much for your extensive review! We are thinking of going to Buenos Aires a few days early, so your review of the city is especially helpful. Great tour advice also. Many thanks!

I would not focus the side of the ship but rather I would focus on where on deck you are located as the seas can get rough so I recommend a mid deck location.

Keith

We have a mid deck location on deck 6, but we are wait listed for an aft location next to the penthouse. Perhaps we should just keep what we have. Thanks for the advice Keith!
