Deck party questions please

I am on the Vista in may for 8 nights. What is the deck party? Where is it located and what time? I dont want to miss it.

Keep an eye on the daily paper. It will be in there.

I don't think the Vista deck parties are different from those on any other Carnival ship. They are always on Lido. The sail away party starts as soon as the safety briefing is over and pretty much goes until the shows start, depending on the departure time. There is also usually a couple more deck parties throughout the cruise but you won't know what day it is until it's in the FunTimes and it will usually be at night.

The "deck party" often times consists of a live band or DJ, games, contests, dancing, and a host walking around with a microphone in charge of all these activities trying to get people to have a fun time. As previously stated it is on the lido deck and can take place anytime from mid-morning til the evening, it will be in the daily activities sheet found in your stateroom.

On Carnival Liberty (my most recent Carnival cruise), I did not make it to the Deck Party, but did get to the Sailaway Party from Port Canaveral. Don't miss that one!
