Portovenere

The Cinque Terre ferry has its first stop at Portovenere. You can catch the ferry just along the pier from where the ship berths. As you exit the port turn to your left and walk along the edge of the water, you will see the ferry stop just a few hundred yards along.

 

I would suggest that you buy the tickets in the tourist office where the shuttle bus from the ship drops you, as the line can be quite long at the ticket office by the ferry stop and once the gates open for ferry boarding it can be a bit of a free-for-all.
