sr. snorkeler Posted June 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2017 On WS Breeze Puerto Caldera to Colon cruise, have choice of Deck 5 cabins 214 next to elevator and cabin 204 close to the front. Concerned about noise from elevator or rough seas in the front cabin. Anyone have experience with these questions?
ridethetide Posted June 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2017 I have never heard anyone complain about elevator noise. If you are bothered by the seas, I would definitely try to stay mid-ship and avoid the fore or aft of the ship. You will absolutely love the Breeze. Redtravel Posted July 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2017 Cabins are quiet. Any location is good. Midship is good. I would not worry about the elevator. That elevator is tiny. The ship is so small that most people walk the stairs. Don't worry about the location of your cabin. Aside from the really expensive suites, the rest of the cabins are the same size. The balcony isn't really a balcony. It's just a window that opens. The only difference to be aware of is whether the cabin has a single or double sink and a tub/shower combo or a large walkin shower. I was offered a big upgrade from the lowest category on deck 4 to a deck 6 cabin that had a single sink and didn't have a tub. For me it was ideal. sauertea Posted August 14, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 14, 2017 We stayed in cabin 205 on the Breeze and have booked it again for the Caribbean. Very quiet, no noise. The cabin was very spacious. It has a sitting area, next to a very large picture window. We had one night of rough seas on the Athens to Venice trip. I am more prone to motion sickness so it certainly affected me more so than my husband. Other than that, sailing was smooth and uneventful. Del Rio Posted August 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2017 Since all 3 of the motor yachts are almost identical, especially beyond decor, I can comment having been on the Pride. We were on the Star Pride last summer in 117 on deck 4. Our headboard wall had the service elevator and the cabin steward's workroom rght behind it. I believe the service elevator gets more use than the public one across the hall, as that is used for room service and beverage restocking all the time. We heard nothing that I would consider intrusive noise for the whole cruise. I would take any cabin near the elevator without concern.
