LBC125 Posted February 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2017 So the Norwegian cruise line that has partnered up with margaritaville, has also partnered up with Wyndham Resorts. The idea is for them to sell a condo, which I understand, so we bought a cruise for $75 from wyndam. We attend a 2 hour presentation and then get the $75 back and the cruise tickets. I am just trying to see if anyone has done this, and if everything really works out as said. He said they do 5 per zipcode (don't know wether that's city, state, or country wide) but we had to try 3 zip codes before there was a spot avaliable, so I figured someone knew. Thanks for anything you know!
cherylandtk Posted February 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2017 You will have to read the fine print of your offer to find out. When this sort of thing has been discussed in the past, it seems that the available sailing dates are limited and/or the dates are not known very far in advance. Since you will get your $75 back after attending the presentation, consider that you have paid zip for the cruise and set your expectations accordingly. The timeshare presentation is likely to tell you that you can use your points to book cruises. Technically true, but if you search this website you will find discussions about the amount of points needed being more valuable as land bookings rather than useful on cruise bookings. Krazy Kruizers Posted February 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I wouldn't fall for such an offer. Lowest price cabin, you still have to get to the ship (plane fare), maybe a hotel stay depending on where you are flying from, port charges, government fees, etc. Nothing is free. shipgeeks Posted February 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2017 The offer has all the features of the scams many people have fallen for. I would run away as fast as I could.
