What are the Chances FTTF Opens More Slots Up Before October?

Booked on a cruise in early Ocotber and the FTTF is sold out. I've been checking it everyday but I'm wondering what are the chances of Carnival opening up more FTTF passes? Don't want to be wasting time checking if there is no chance.

What cruise on what ship? We are on Magic October 7 and FTTF opened back up this morning for a little while. They were sold out again pretty quickly though. Thankfully I was able to secure a 11:30 check in time and am in a wheelchair so I dont really need it. I will be boarded right after FTTF.

Breeze out of Galveston...I checked when I got to work this morning about 7:15am...should I be checking at like 4am or something? I got 11:00am check in, but this is the first time I've cruised since Carnival began the staggered check-in times. I'm not sure what to expect with an 11:00am check in as I'm just a Gold passenger. Figured FTTF can't hurt to help get on sooner.

Quantity of FTTF slots always depend on how many diamond and platinum and "special" (think wedding groups) book that particular cruise.

Room stewards can give only so many rooms priority.

Somebody has to be first, somebody has to be last.

I booked a July cruise in March, and the FTTF was sold out. I kept checking the website multiple times a day for our 2 rooms, and had my best luck in finding them available very early in the morning - 1 at 4:30 and the other at 5:30 (no, I didn't wake up specifically for that purpose). Different days a week apart. They are few and far between, but you'll get one if you're diligent.

Diamond, Platinum, and Suite guests get priority boarding and their staterooms are ready upon boarding. Based on room steward limitations, they cannot prepare an unlimited number of staterooms that quickly, so those slots are limited. Once the Diamond, Plat and Suites are accounted for, wherever number of slots are still available are offered to the public as FTTF. As you've noted, they sell out pretty quick. However, Carnival will periodically make more available as folks cancel or perhaps upgrade to a Suite. You just have to keep checking every day...preferably several times a day. For example, I booked our cruise about 100 days prior to sailing. FTTF was sold out but I checked every day, twice a day. Finally, at 75 days out, I logged on in the morning around 8am and there was limited availability...I immediately bought it! I checked back again around noon and FTTF was sold out again. And now, 60 days out, I got a call from the Upsell Fairy and opted buy up to an Ocean Suite, so I cancelled my FTTF, so someone else will be able to buy that slot. So keep checking...religiously...and you will be rewarded!

Fair to middling chances from my experience . Check early mornings around final payment date.

Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your cruise.

A very good chance. The were sold out for my cruise at the end of October, but I kept looking and one popped up. Also I was told when final payment is due to check then because some have to cancel cruise.

The chances are VERY likely, but you have to be vigilant about checking.

Seriously, any free time you get at work, in the morning, before bed, if you get up to pee in the middle of the night.:'):'):')

Seriously, you just don't know when they'll show up, but I can guarantee they will.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I'm already on the "twice a day" program! I'm looking for late October! We booked a few weeks later this year and I've been checking every day since. I hadn't thought of the middle of the night addition! OK, got to add that to my middle of the night restroom routine! Geez! <Sigh> But, I do love me some FTTF!

OP are you on the Premier Casino Cruise on either the 8th or 15th of October on the Breeze? I am booked on both of these sailings. Did you book with the casino offer? If so you will have Priority boarding (luggage tag shows FTTF) and should be fine. If not I have found the boarding to go smoothly in Galveston with out too many delays, although it depends on your cruise date. If you are on either of the above dates you will be boarding after Diamond, Plat, Suites, Premier Cruise and FTTF paid people.(all the above are really FTTF) I know there are a bunch of Premier cruise people on the above cruises so there will be a lot of people with FTTF already so they may not have more slots to open.

Early morning has been the best in my experience to snag a slot.

Out of the four Carnival cruises that I have been on, I was able to get the FTTF passes on two cruises as soon as I booked, on another when I kept checking in the months before my cruise, and the 4th one I could not find them available no matter how many times I checked. I think they do open up from time to time, so checking often is worth it.

and almost as assuredly will sell out pretty again pretty quickly because (And OP you should make a note of this) people are watching and letting others know when it goes on sale. Join and actively watch your roll call for the sailing, Join and actively watch the book of faces group for your sailing (almost every sailing has one). Use the shipmate app for another source of roll call people that will give you a heads up. The more info streams you have the better! :)

When I booked last March (a year and change ago) for our cruise last July I saw FTTF but didn't know what it was so I skipped it. Later I read about it enough to think I wanted it so I went to buy it and it was gone. I checked every time I had a chance exactly like KP said above. I snagged it on a weekend about 3am and it was sold out again a day later. I saw it go back on sale and off again 2 more times before we sailed.

For our cruise next April I got it as soon as it was listed but it's sold out now. But I see messages from my fb group and the roll call here that people are checking so I expect more will come up for the folks that missed out first time around.
