Yes! Each store has a big pin book you can look through and all cast members in the stores, front desk and some restaurants wear lanyards. One night is officer pin trading night where about 15-20 officers come to trade with their lanyards. So much fun!!!

Question about this, I know in WDW the cast members are not picky about what they trade for, we usually pick up some cheap pins for my daughter to trade as she doesn't like to part with her "good" ones. Are they like that on the ship also?

Yes. They are generally not allowed to refuse a trade. They CAN go the 'surprise' pin route.

A CM wearing a lanyard cannot refuse a trade unless they are already wearing that same pin. They follow the same printed set of rules as in the parks--the pin must be a real Disney pin with the copyright indicated on the back (no knock offs), must be in good condition, etc. CMs don't get to "like" or "want" a pin--if a guest wants to trade, they trade.

If you want to trade with another guest, that is between the two of you.
