Thanks for all the suggestions. I went with the Kwanwa Digital LED Clock. Runs on four AA batteries with 1.2" red display numbers. DH and I should both be able to see this one from across the cabin. It does have an alarm, but I don't plan on ever using it while on a cruise ship :)
