drinks packages

We did a cruise to the Panama Canal in February, on the Island Princess, wonderful cruise!

Next we are going to Hawaii and French Polynesia in October. Seeing that we enjoy a social drink, and working out our drink bill, we are thinking of a drinks package next time. It will be a 28 night cruise. The package says for 1 person, so can you share the daily package for 2 of us? would be costly to have a package each. Hope someone can help.

Cruise lines get very upset if you try to share a package that is intended to be for one person. They rarely give a second warning.

We will also be on the South Pacific cruise this fall. I assume you mean the Crown Princess 28 day round trip. We have an active Roll Call, why don't you join us. Here is the link:

There are a lot of posts on the Roll Call, so there is also a Shutterfly site that consolidates the info and makes it easier to find things. Here is the link for it

Do you remember what the cost of your drinks on the Island Princess were? Do you remember about how many drinks a day you had on the average?

If so -- multiply the number of drinks per day by 28 and then by the cost of the them.

That will give you an idea of what you will spend on the drinks and then compare it to the cost of 2 packages -- one for each of you.

I did that for our last HAL cruise and found that the few drinks we have each day would not warrant our buying the packages. HAL would have made out on us.

The package is per person, so two people would require the purchase of two packages, one per person. No sharing.

With that said, if you are just looking for a social drink, it might make more sense to purchase a la carte.

Thanks for that. Will look into it.
