I asked a similar question in the royal caribbean forum.

Will there be lots of kids on this sailing or do most families tend to sail with Royal and ncl on the ships more tailored to families?

I like the western itinarey,

We will be in florida for 3 weeks over Xmas and are wondering whether to rake a 7 day cruuse the first week

Although we don't want to be over run with kids

There will be a lot more kids on RCI and NCL, but at Christmas there will be quite a few families/children on Celebrity also. But, Celebrity does a good job of "hiding" them. :p

We usually cruise right before Christmas and there are basically no children on the ship. But looking at the calendar, most kids will have the 2 weeks off from Dec 18 through the first of the year. If you plan on going before the 18th you should be fine.

I'm talking Celebrity here, not RCL.

A lot of schools I know of will go through the middle of the week that week, even all the way until Dec 22. Many of them will start classes back up on Thursday, Jan 4, 2018.

I expect the Dec 16 and 17 sailings to be mostly kid-free.

We sail on Silhouette Dec 17. My college student will be out of classes. The last day of final Exams is Friday, Dec 15.
